Storytime.

Nothing can transport me so immediately back to my childhood quite like a much-loved storybook can.   I had these books when I was small, and you know it’s the mark of a great book when little ones are still drawn to it today.   My mom used to read them to me and it brings back such good memories.   I was equally excited when I found the garland (hanging above the bed), which is handmade from an old book of the same author.   I now have that colorful storybook garland hanging up in my house – reminding me of the warm times spent with my mama.  =)

Little Miss J was such a delight.  Thanks so much, Wendi!

I was referred to you by Holly Tye! You take amazing photos! I love these pictures like this for my daughter’s 2 yr. pics! She has a tutu and a shirt with her name, and the number 2 ! I would like one of my purchases to be a large canvas of some sort with a close up of her done in all white like this so that the pinks in her outfit Pop ! Possibly a window in the background… I will email you my information !
Thanks

days gone by | Columbus GA Portrait Photographer

Toyra and Megan talked to me about doing a 1940′s styled session, and of course I jumped at the chance!  I loved the idea of working on a session that centered around something they love and that is special to them.  A styled session could be inspired by anything – a memory,  a book, a movie -  they are soooo much fun.

Both girls love 1940′s fashion and hairstyles, so that’s the direction we went.  I never realized it before, but 1940′s dresses and hairstyles were so timeless and feminine - loved them!   It was a lot of fun, Toyra and Megan – hope you enjoy them!

Holly Jo - Classic, Flawless, Beautiful! Fabulous work! :)

Bess - LOVE X’S A KAZILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leilani - Absolutely stunning!

Heather - I love these. So neat that you were able to do a session like this!! I bet it was so much fun!

Hillary - These are so much fun!

admin - Thanks very much, you guys! They were so beautiful and fun to work with. =)

Debra P - Trudy – I LOVE these. Absolutely stunning. Your really did capture something timeless. Nice job!!

Amber | Columbus Georgia Senior Photographer

On the late afternoon/evening we did Amber’s senior session, it was bright and sunny.  Then dark and cloudy.  Then bright again.  Then dark again!  =)    We finally got enough light to have her session and even a little bit of sun even came out towards the end.   Amber was gorgeous and I *loved* her auburn hair and freckles!  I had fun with you, Amber – wish you all the best as you head to college!

Bess - Great shots! She’s so pretty! She reminds me of a young Rebecca De Mornay.

Holly Jo - Wow, simply gorgeous! Your talent shines on Amber’s natural beauty! :)

Heather - These are beautiful!! I love how the green ties in with her eyes! I also love how you captured the water and yellow flowers in the background! Everything ties in perfectly!

admin - thank you so much, y’all =)

welcome | Columbus Georgia child photographer

There is nothing quite as precious as a new baby coming into the world….such an amazing gift from God.   Sweet little baby A decided he was ready to make his entrance in the wee hours of the morning yesterday.  Here’s a first glimpse at the C family’s beautiful little miracle.

Holly - What a precious little miracle! Your work is just magical! :)

Bess - LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a midsummer night | Columbus Georgia Photographer

Miss Megan and I met up on a blazing hot summer evening, right after a summer rainshower.  So needless to say, it was like a sauna outside in this humid place called the South.   The rain and humidity didn’t affect Megan, though, who looked absolutely stunning.  I, on the other hand, walked around the entire session with my hair looking like a chia pet!   So glad that wasn’t recorded for prosperity. =)

Megan is a talented artist and an illustrator and she has so many great ideas – I’m excited that we’re going to collaborate on an upcoming styled shoot.   It’s going to be so much fun…watch for it in the coming weeks!    Thanks, Megan – I had a blast with you!

Heather - Wow! These are gorgeous!! You did an excellent job! All the colors in the pictures tie in perfectly!

Debra P - Love these Trudy, especially that last one. Wow!!

admin - thank you so much =)
